I was asked to write a little about me in this space. How do you condense over twenty years of radio mayhem into just a few paragraphs? You can't. So here's the Readers' Digest version of the radio life of "Just George!:"

I was born in Washington DC, raised in Windber, PA, started at a small AM radio station in Johnstown, PA in 1983, moved on to Cresson, PA, Elmira, NY, back to Johnstown, did play-by-play for two East Coast Hockey League teams in Johnstown, PA and Nashville, TN (where I fell in love with country music!), returned to Johnstown to two more radio stations (country and oldies) before finally finding a home at SAM-FM 107.1. Whew!

It's always a blast to be involved with something from the very beginning. When I was given the task of building a morning show for the new SAM-FM 107.1 in April 2006, my first thought was 'it needs to be fun!' I'm trying to give you what I would want as a listener waking up to battle books or bosses everyday. Hopefully I have achieved exactly that.
